According to recent figures, the count of people aged 100 and above in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of male individuals reaching 100 has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the count of women aged 100 or over nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their family or close ones, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and changes.
